The underestimated power of craftsmanship. From hairdresser to entrepreneur: a journey against the tide.
“When hands create value – The underestimated power of craftsmanship” is a lecture about the origins, pride, and future viability of craftsmanship. Nadine Habermann uses her own journey – from hairdresser to entrepreneur and founder of a specialized hair weaving academy – to show how specialization, attitude, and genuine craftsmanship lead to economic strength and social significance. As the author of the book “Die Föhntherapie” (Hair Dryer Therapy), a tribute to the hairdressing trade and a plea for more respect, recognition, and fair working conditions, she shares experiences that go far beyond the salon. This lecture is an impetus to swim against the tide, take responsibility, and make the value of working with your hands visible again.
