25 years of community service projects of the RC Donauwörth in India
RC Donauwörth’s activities in India began 25 years ago. A friend who was traveling there privately saw the plight of the children and decided to make helping the children in India the focus of his upcoming presidential year. So, with the support of friends from Donauwörth, first a children’s home was built in southern India, then a school, and then a foundation for an orphanage. From 2000 onwards, the RC Donauwörth was instrumental in setting up a completely new branch of the Sisters of Charity order, the expansion of which has kept the club under its spell to this day. The lecture tells of this exciting time with many fascinating pictures.

The RC Club Donauwörth has been active in aid projects in India since 1995. Since then, numerous community service projects have been realized together with the order of the “Sisters of Charity”. As President in 2001/2002, Robert Ebner himself was part of the club’s activities in South India. To mark the 50th anniversary of RC Donauwörth, the best pictures of all the projects and the numerous club trips to India were compiled for a presentation. It shows how big dreams can become reality with the help of Rotary and also offers exciting insights into everyday life in India.
