From the initial idea to founding an NGO and association to sustainable and culturally sensitive development aid
The speaker will explain how an initial idea with minimal resources and a pragmatic approach can lead to a project which, after just a short time, has been able to make a lasting difference to the lives of many people and create the first jobs. The presentation will not only provide insights into the content, objectives and approaches, but also into the special features and opportunities of Rotarian involvement in a developing country.

Thilo Harraßer (RC Hybrid District 1950) is Managing Director of the company MyTeamShop (Teamplay1 GmbH). He has been involved in Tanzania since he volunteered in various development aid projects there in 2015. In his parallel roles as a Rotarian and as a board member of the Tanzanian NGO “MAPO” and the German “MAPO Deutschland e. V.”, he forms the interface between Tanzania, Germany and the Rotarian network for the project.
