Dr. Fritz Kahn – Pioneer of Infographics | PLZ65

A journey back in time to the Weimar Republic with exciting pictures of an author persecuted by the Nazis

During the Weimar Republic, Fritz Kahn (1888-1968) not only worked as a gynecologist in Berlin-Charlottenburg, he also published successful non-fiction books. They made the complexity of the human body understandable – with many astonishing illustrations. Due to National Socialist cultural censorship, however, Kahn’s work fell into oblivion and was only rediscovered a few years ago. Together with his sister, Thilo von Debschitz has unearthed this treasure and made it visible in an illustrated book published by Taschen. Our friend from Wiesbaden takes us on an exciting journey through time and presents visual highlights from Fritz Kahn’s estate.
