Digital Euro vs. Stablecoins | PLZ61
Digital Euro vs. Stablecoins – the (brave) new world of money. An accessible look into the future of digital payments.
In addition to cash and book money (what we have in our checking accounts), another form of payment is gaining increasing importance in the digital world: so-called stablecoins. Backed by (supposedly) secure assets such as the U.S. dollar, they promise users access to the digital world of payments: global, in real time (24/7/365), and extremely cost-effective. In plain language, the former head of capital markets at the private bank Metzler examines the opportunities and risks of these new payment methods and offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the (brave) new world of digital money, into a future for which we should be prepared.
