Exnovation – Strategically ending things at the right time | PLZ80 | PLZ81

In order for new things to emerge and for us to develop focus, we must let go of the things that no longer have any effect.

Innovation has always been on everyone’s lips and is constantly celebrated: the world needs great new products, initiatives, and services. This is important and understandable. However, if we only ever offer new things from our organization and don’t “prune the branches” on the other side, there is a great danger that we will get bogged down and unable to focus. In order to create new effectiveness, we must consciously end things that no longer have an impact, either now or in the future. The crux of the matter is that no one is celebrated for ending products, projects, etc. Strategic letting go is less of a purely cognitive-logical decision and more strongly influenced by corporate culture and emotional attachment. That is why organizations need rituals that suit them.
