Climate-neutral Germany – technologies, costs, social discussions

Based on the latest data and scientific studies, the presentation will outline the currently foreseeable path to climate neutrality in Germany, separately for the areas of electricity generation, transportation, heating and industry. On the one hand, it deals with the necessary technologies (PV/wind, electric cars, heat pumps, hydrogen, etc.) and on the other hand with the expected costs. On this basis, the second part of the presentation is dedicated to the current social discussions surrounding climate protection: Is the competitiveness of industry/our prosperity at risk? What is the role of reduced consumption? Are there lessons from Corona for climate protection?
